There is a small fishing dock and a boat ramp leading right out to the lagoon here and nearly all the sites are waterfront. You can even launch your boat from your campsite. Take advantage of the park's playground, picnic pavilions, wading bird pond and unguarded swimming pond. The campground draws a mix of vacationing families and surfers. At the Scout Island, which is a mile of pretty nature trails and primitive campsites, follow the walking bridge here. Long Point Park is a roosting site for wood storks and home to protected wildlife, including otters, bobcats, birds and manatees.

Sebastian Inlet Campsite - a water-loving camper's delight, where beach, river and inlet anglers will find extraordinary fishing spots. Convenient boat launch facilities are available. Surfers will love the three miles of beaches famous for having East Florida's best waves. The 51 campsites come equipped with water, electrical hookups, a fire ring with a grill and a picnic table and full restrooms, a dump station and laundry facilities are available onsite.

Explore Florida's historic past by getting involved in some active recreation at this 25 acres of Fort Christmas Historical Park. The major attraction of the park is the replica of the fort built to protect European settlers during their war with the Seminole Tribe. The museum houses military and Seminole artifacts, restored pioneer home and sugarcane mill. Change your mood by enjoying on the basketball, volleyball and tennis courts located in the park or have fun at a playground, horseshoe pits and picnic areas.

Kennedy Space Center - 140,000-acre of property where you can race to outer space, see a Moon rock and get a close look at Apollo capsules, rocket engines and a lunar module.
View eight massive rockets from past eras in the Rocket Garden and soar off into the skies on a screen at five stories high IMAX Theater. Bus tours, journey around the massive complex, with narrations explaining the highlights of the center is free. The complex also homes the Merritt Island Wildlife Refuge, deer, small animals, turtles, alligators and an enormous variety of birds.
Admission is $24 adults, $15 children 3-11; a more complete tour that includes visits to the Mercury, Gemini and Apollo launch pads is $44 adults, $35 children 3-11; and a Kennedy Space Center Wildlife Tour visiting the region's wild creatures as well as the highlights of the Space Center is $44 adults, $35 children 3-11.
