There is a small fishing dock and a boat
ramp leading right out to the lagoon here and nearly all the
sites are waterfront. You can even launch your boat from your
campsite. Take advantage of the park's playground, picnic
pavilions, wading bird pond and unguarded swimming pond. The
campground draws a mix of vacationing families and surfers.
At the Scout Island, which is a mile of pretty nature trails
and primitive campsites, follow the walking bridge here. Long
Point Park is a roosting site for wood storks and home to
protected wildlife, including otters, bobcats, birds and manatees.
