The forest sanctuary covering 393-acre of land is one of the largest remaining tracts of coastal hardwood forest in east central Florida. The major attraction of the park is the replica of the fort built to protect European settlers during their war with the Seminole Tribe. The museum houses military and Seminole artifacts, restored pioneer home and sugarcane mill.
